If you’re like me and need some help to decide what to buy then you’ve come to the right place. I’ve collected some ideas from several popular categories to help you find a gift kids will love.
Disney
I’m personally buying the Disney Princess Deluxe Ariel Doll for my niece who loves Ariel. This doll comes with a tiara and a pacifier. If Ariel isn’t their thing then they also make Tiana, Rapunzel, Belle, and Aurora dolls as well.
If you’re looking for a more realistic looking doll, then I would suggest the Disney Animators’ Collection Dolls. You can select from: Anna, Elsa, Ariel, Snow White, Aurora, Cinderella, Tiana, Rapunzel, Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Mulan, Merida, and Tinkerbelle. Each one comes with a stuffed friend that corresponds with their movie.
If the child you’re buying for loves Toy Story then You will want to check out this Buzz Lightyear Interactive Action Figure. It has over thirty different phrases and sounds, lights, and with the touch of a button you can flip his wings out! If you want to expand your collection, check out Woody and Bullseye, Jessie, Hamm, Slinky Dog, Forky, Rex, and Bo Peep.
You could have lots of adventures with the Disney Junior Mickey Mouse Outdoor and Explore Camper. The camper includes a built-in kitchen, a table, chair, campfire with grill, two campfire logs, a telescope, ladder, a tent, a fishing pole with a fish, a boat and, of course, a Mickey Mouse and Pluto.
The Disney Pixar Cars Race Around Radiator Springs Playset looks like loads of fun! It incudes a Lightning McQueen car, a speed booster, and a diverter.
If she loves Disney princesses, then the Disney Princess Royal Collection is right for her. It includes twelve dolls including: Tiana, Snow White, Aurora, Cinderella, Jasmine, Belle, Ariel, Rapunzel, Mulan, Merida, Pocahontas, and Moana.
Hot Wheels
I love this Hot Wheels Track Builder Total Turbo Takeover Track Set with it’s double loops and two way booster. It can also be rearranged in several different ways and features a car launcher and boulder dropper that drops three boulders when the car (included) drives under it.
This Hot Wheels City Ultimate Garage is super cool. There is an actual t-rex that crushes cars in it’s teeth! The garage stores over 100 cars. In addition, the track features air jumps…which I think is super cool.
If your kid likes Mario Kart, they will love the Hot Wheels Mario Kart Circuit Track! The track has two lanes so they can race their opponent. Start the race with a touch of a button to launch Mario and Yoshie into a fast speed race. Press the turtle shell button to push the opponent off the track. There are so many fun features in this track!
The Hot Wheels Track Builder Multi Loop Box is a great addition to any Hot Wheels collection. The kit offers the ability to expand your track, as well as store it when done playing. In addition, the box can be attached to the track to create loops and other roads. The kit includes ten feet of track, connectors, launcher, and a Hot Wheels car.
Now this is perfect for any boy! The Hot Wheels Corkscrew Crash track has a car launcher, high speed boosters, and three loops with three opportunities to crash. Will your car make it through in one piece?
Last but not least, they will need some cars to play with on their tracks. This Twenty Car Gift Pack makes a great gift (it’s easier to wrap as well).
Legos
This is the Lego Super Mario Adventures Building Kit. It may look like just a plain, simple, Lego set at first glance but it is anything but plain. The set has 231 pieces and includes seven interactive action bricks, a start pipe, a goal post, a question mark block, Bowser jr., Goomba, and an interactive Mario. Mario has a color sensor; LCD screens in his eyes, mouth, and stomach; and a speaker that plays sounds and music from the video game. There are several expansion sets you can purchase including: Mario’s House and Yoshie, Whomp’s Lava Trouble, Mario Guarded Fortress, Bowsers Castle Boss Battle, Toad’s Treasure Hunt, Piranha Plant Power Slide, Boomer Bill Barrage, Desert Pokey, and Thwomp Drop. If they like Minecraft, then check out the Lego Minecraft Villager Outpost which contains 303 pieces. There are three sections: a tent, a cage that holds the Iron Golem, and an archery practice area equipped with practice dummies. Of course, if you have an archery practice area, you will need crossbows; which this kit includes! The kit also includes TNT, which is useful in freeing the Iron Golem, plus four buildable characters and a sheep. This next Kit will spark any kids creativity! The Lego Medium Classic Brick Box has 10,696 pieces to play with. The box also includes building ideas to get them started and all of the pieces are compatible with will all Lego brand sets.
The Lego Friends Heartlake City Play Hair Salon is a cute set for girls. It has 235 pieces, two mini-dolls, two extra wigs, two hairdressing chairs, a hair washing sink, and a ton of extra accessories like brushes and play money.
The Creator Mighty Dinosaur 3-in-1 Set allows you to create three different dinosaurs out of 174 pieces, You can choose to create a t-rex, triceratops, or a pterodactyl. The set includes other features such as orange eyes and posable joints and head.
If your child is interested in Star Wars then this Lego Star Wars Mandalorian Battle Pack might be a great gift for them. Create stud shooting blasters, a stud shooting speeder bike, a defense fort where you can also attach a blaster, and and four Mandalorian warriors all with the 102 piece set.
Educational
If your kids are interested in geology, then breaking open a geode would be right up their ally. This National Geographic Geode Kit includes ten geodes that they can open themselves and a learning guide.
Science never tasted so good! Learn the science behind making candies with the Edible Candy Food Science Chemistry Kit. The kit includes fourty experiments, a 56 page activities and lab guide, and 27 tools and ingredients. This just might be the most delicious educational gift you can buy.
This next gift idea is a globe with a spin. The Shifu Orboot Augmented Reality Interactive Globe offers more than 400 highlights and over 1,000 world facts. Explore different cultures, inventions, monuments, animals, and more through their app. Kids can solve puzzles, quizzes, and other activities. The globe comes with a passport, stamps, stickers and a help guide. However, it works with a tablet, which is not included.
This is the Advanced Electronic Circuit Board. I had one similar to this when I was a kid and loved it, although, I think this one has more bells and whistles than mine did. Kids can learn how, wire circuits in order to turn on lights, fans, and doorbells; as well as work with magnets, and even an AM/FM radio. The kit includes a 64 page manual with 328 experiments.
The Osmo kits are a fun way to learn various subjects. This is the Genius Starter Kit which teaches problem solving, math, physics, drawing and more. The kit comes with tangram pieces, number tiles, word tiles, stackable storage, and the osmo base for an ipad (not included). This kit is for ages 6-10 but there are different kits for younger children, such as the Little Genius Starter Kit for ages 3-5, as well as kits that offer different learning experiences such as a Detective Agency, the Super Studio that teaches drawing skills, and a Pizza Co., plus so many other kits to check out.
The AmScope Beginner Microscope is great for children who like biology. I had one of these and played with it for hours. It has a forward facing turret that magnifies by 120x, 240x, 300x, 480x, 600x, 1200x; a monocular viewing head, LED and mirror illumination, and a color filter wheel. The microscope also comes with a case and five accessories including tweezers, a shrimp hatchery, a petri dish, prepared and unprepared slides, cover glasses, micro slicer, collecting vials, a graduated cylinder, and a stirring rod. Another addition to think about buying are the AmScope prepared slides which includes slides with 25 different materials already attached to them.
0-36 Months
The Fisher Price Little People Christmas Story nativity scene is a great idea for a Christmas gift. Not only is this loads of fun but its a great way to teach kids about the birth of Christ. This comes with twelve little people figures and five accessories. When you press on the angel that sits on top of the manger it lights up the star and plays a song. If you are interested in another fisher price set then there are so many other fisher price little people adaptions such as a Noah’s Ark, the Friendly School, or the Big Helpers Home. There are also many other people figures such as the Toy Story 4 Friends Pack, the Farm Animal Friends, or the Disney Princess Jasmine and Friends, just to name a few.
Next, we have the VTech Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker. The learning walker is useful in developing sensory and motor skills. The activity panel has piano keys that play music, a play telephone, spinning rollers, shape sorters, and light up buttons. There are over 70 sing along songs, sounds effects, music, and phrases. The wheels on the walker can be used on either hard wood or carpet and the activity panel is removable so it can be used when sitting.
Toddlers will love this Playhouse Jungle Gym Ball Pit. It features multiple basketball hoops, a dart board with five velcro balls, two tunnels, a pyramid play tent, and a cube play tent. All the different tents and tunnels can be rearranged in different ways to better suite your surroundings. The set can also be closed and zipped up in order to take it with you. The only problem is that it doesn’t come with the balls. You can, however, purchase some by using this link. You can select a set of either 200, 400, 600, 800, or 1,000 balls.
Give your baby something to do with the Fisher Price Deluxe Kick ‘N Play Piano Gym. This is a toy you will have around for years to come. You can configure it in four different ways so it can be used as your baby grows. The piano can be removed and the arch can be moved to better suit the stage of your baby. It comes with five toys including an elephant teether, a mirror, a crinkle panda, a lion rattle, and monkey cymbal clackers. The mat has loops where you can place the toys for when baby has it’s tummy time. The piano has five light up keys and three learning levels, plus a piano setting.
The Bright Starts Oball Shaker Rattle Toy is perfect for a newborn or older. This rattle has oballs on either side which make it easy to hold and is also great for teething. The center is clear to make it easy for the baby to see the beads’ bright colors.
This VTech Turn and learn driver looks like a lot of fun! There are five buttons to press to switch to different animals and vehicles. There is a moveable wheel, a throttle, turn signal, mirror, and over 60 songs, sounds and phrases.
